Ethernet cable question.

Can (or should) you plug an Ethernet cable into your GPON box in order to connect a Network Extender (Verizon cell phone signal booster) ? As in instead of plugging the Ethernet cable into the router. . what would happen? Thx

Welcome to the forums @Wingit.

If this network extender is a repeater, only one device will reliably connect to the internet, without the benefit of a Firewall either.

If I have understood this correctly, not recommended.

Please give more details of what you're trying to achieve here.

The phone would have unfiltered access though the signal booster. It should be fine. If you want traffic info plug it into the router instead.
