Firmware indicator light

I can't find this answer. I have an RT-n66u with the latest ASUS firmware. A green "APP" light shows up in the top right of the web gui. Same thing on my new RT-AC68W.

I know it's not a problem, but what does the light mean? I have installed nothing extra nor connected anything. When I hover over the light, a hand shows up, but clicking does nothing.

It doesn't mean anything. It's not a "light", it's just that Asus decided to make it green to match the icons next to it. Its purpose is that if you click on it, it shows QR codes to allow you to easily download their mobile App.

It's possible that your browser isn't working properly with it, as it should show that popup when you click on it.

Thanks for the reply Merlin. I asked because the other three do show the popup. I am using Firefox and nothing shows with a click. What you said does show in Safari though. Thanks for the answer.
