I've been excited to see support for fq_codel in the latest Merlin firmwares, however I can't figure out how to enable it on my router (changelog says there is a switch to pick between QoS backend, but I haven't found it). After some research it looks like it is only supported in more recent routers.
Where would that limitation come from, and is there a way to enable it manually over SSH? Is the kernel that supports my hardware just too old?
