New Around Here
I have the ASUS RT-AX88U PRO with the latest merlin firmware and this keeps going non stop in the logs, any ideas why?

Mastiff: init
rc_service: watchdog 2279:notify_rc stop_aae
rc_service: watchdog 2279:notify_rc start_mastiff
rc_service: waitting "stop_aae" via watchdog ...

Just keeps looping

sorry I believe I just figured it out with a bit of searching which was to "disable Asus NAT tunnel"
What exactly did you turn off or changed. I have the same problem with my asus router:

Jan 9 23:08:11 rc_service: watchdog 2765:notify_rc stop_aae
Jan 9 23:08:11 rc_service: watchdog 2765:notify_rc start_mastiff
Jan 9 23:08:11 rc_service: waitting "stop_aae" via watchdog ...
Jan 9 23:08:11 custom_script: Running /jffs/scripts/service-event (args: stop aae)
Jan 9 23:08:12 custom_script: Running /jffs/scripts/service-event (args: start mastiff)
Jan 9 23:08:12 Mastiff: init

Flooding every 30s. I did fully reset and then installed Merlins FW and AMTM.

As per post #2, Tools - Other Settings > Disable Asusnat tunnel
Now I know where to find it. I have disabled it now ;) Thx no more messages

Should I disable Asus NAT tunnel or not?
Yes. You'll not miss it.

Oke, then I disable it. Thx.
Anyone still seeing these messages with Asus NAT tunnel disabled? Just curious since my setup has it disabled already but im still seeing these messages! Thanks!

The same exact messages? It shouldn’t really be possible if the setting has stuck. Check it:
Code:
nvram get aae_disable_force
Should be 1
