GT-AX6000 MerlinWRT Optimal Wifi Settings

I am using MerlinWRT firmware with GT-AX6000. I have a 1gb fiber connection. Speed test from within router does pickup in the 932-950mb range. Other devices that I have (e.g. iPhone 16 pro max only picks up apps half - 500mb range. I recall seeing in this forum some optimal wifi settings for the router using Asus MerlinWRT at one time a while back. Tried searching but can't find it anymore. Does anyone have these settings or recommendations?

You will not achieve equal speedtest with wired against wireless. It's the nature of wireless connections, the speed depends on how close you are to the router, in fact you can test it in different distances. Wireless connection is not synchronous(transfer up/down occuring at the same time) so if you get about 60-70% of the link speed at the closest distance, you're good.

Ok, good to know. Appreciate the response.

I have a symmetrical 1 Gbps connection and I hit 950 Mbps on my Pixel 9 Pro, but it obviously varies a bit and it depends on how close you are to the router and which channels you're using.
I use channel 100 for the 5 GHz band, since 1 W transmit power is allowed and I have no neighbours anywhere near that channel.
I take it you've enabled 160 MHz channel bandwidth?
I've also enabled OFDMA and MU-MIMO, as I have several devices on the 5 GHz band that can take advantage of those features.

The 2.4 GHz radio is quite weak on mine though and I have better signal strength on the 5 GHz band, which is quite weird.
