Guest network access time

New Around Here
When configuring the guest network access time, is this asking me how long I want to the guest network to be accessible? Once this time limit runs down, the Guest network will no longer be visible / accessible?

Outside of Parental Controls and specifying the times of the day I want a single client to be able to access a given network, there is no way to specify guest network access time the same way?

Ya, I had this same question.
Was the guest network "access time" apply to

a) the guest network itself -- eg: 4 hours is the amount of time the entire guest SSID is available. maybe it's designed to run this network for the weekend when you're hosting a conference.

b) each connection on the network -- eg: 4 hours is the individual client lease expiration time.

I guess i could run a small time-frame experiment to find out..

ok small experiment says that the entire guest network goes away after that duration.

When the time expires the entire guest network shuts down.

It does not disable my Wi-Fi after tje configured remaining time. I've tried with a 3-minutes setting and it's stuck at 2 minutes left since then. Has anybody here ever seen this?

Have you tried with longer settings? Maybe 3 minutes is too short?

After making that setting, did you reboot the router and the affected client devices? They may still be piggybacking on the previous settings until their lease gets renewed?

Thanks for yout reply! I've just done this:
1) After rebooting the router there was no guest network. The guest network configured yesterdayFor a few minutes is gone.
2) I configured the guest network with 1 day and waited for 3 minutes. Time is still stuck at 23 min 59 sec.
3) reebooted the router again. The guest network I've just enabled is gone.

The only way to schedule properly is scheduling the router to reboot so the guest network will be gone hahaha

Ps: the router's clock shows the correct time in the logs

@rafaelhb, please see my reply in the other thread. :)

Please don't cross-post the same questions in different threads.
