New Around Here
I have a Netgear WNDR3700 router in my computer room, which is one interior wall away from my living room where the home theater equipment is.

I am thinking about getting a Pioneer VSX-1021-k receiver which has both an ethernet port and a port for a wi-fi converter.

What would be the fastest way to connect to it: Buy the wi-fi converter ($150), use a powerline setup, or run an ethernet cable up inside the wall, across the attic and down the wall to the receiver?

I'm in Arizona and the summer temps here can exceed 115 degrees. It is probably hotter in the attic. How much heat can an ethernet cable take? Thanks.

Ethernet is fastest and most reliable. Ethernet cable can take the heat.
