How many connection attempts are you getting on your home router while all ports are closed?

Hi,

I'm getting 8 connection attempts per minute around the clock, or about 11500 per day.
Is this normal? It seems a lot to me.
What about you?

There is no "normal" number. Just common Internet background noise. The built-in firewall takes care of it.

Well I would do a port scan to see if anything open, if everything is closed, then don't worry about it. I check ports 21, 22, 23, 25, 53, 80, 110, 115, 135, 139, 143, 194, 443, 445, 514, 1433, 3306, 3389, 5632, 5900, 7000, 9000, 25565 with https://dnschecker.org/port-scanner.php

If your connection is dhcp, someone else may have a compromised system on the isp that you are using so when you get that particular outside ip that hackers knows the number, they end up bashing against the firewall.

Between 6 and 10 per second.
As @Tech9 said, it's just noise.
