How to check Merlin installed version?

How can I check with nvram get (or otherwise from a shell/script) which version of Merlin is installed? I mean a string like 386.7_2.

I use

BUILDNO=$(nvram get buildno)    # Major
BUILDNO=${BUILDNO}_$(nvram get extendno)   # Minor

hmpf, for me is:

nvram get buildno

386.9 and

nvram get extendno

is the output 0.
