How to config Smart Connect Rule (5GHZ prefer)?

How to config it right to make the device always connect 5ghz if the device supported 5ghz? Now, the device switches back to 2.4 when I go downstairs. It's very annoying, cuz the speed of 2.4Ghz is always slow

Flip the STA Selection Policy around.

Why did you enable SmartConnect, if you don't want SmartConnect? Disable it and your devices will never switch bands.

If you want to use smart connect while still locking certain devices to the 5 ghz band, you can add a Wireless MAC Filter to prevent those specific clients from connecting to 2.4 ghz.
