New Around Here
hi guys, im new here and a newbie about router.

i purchased 68u router recently and done all basic setting without any problem other than this.

i did search google for it but cant find any detail. hope u can show me step by step about this thanks.

i wanted to remotely access my router setting,

web access from WAN enabled.

should i turn on allow only specified IP address ?

whats next and how to enter my router after everything is done ?

...find out your WAN-IP and point your browser to the port you configured (http or https).

Since you already enabled it, check the logs right away.....you're probably not the first to connect to it by now :D

Honestly, I would not advice to use this method at all.
Set-up an openvpn server instead....simply for security reasons.

Can you say "Open-VPN"? I bet you can. IMO its the only way to go, anything else is just asking for trouble.

I am using Asusddns finally

and it is working just remember if you switch routers you may have to switch domain names..

Thanks man, I finally have time to try out last night it works on the wan ip method.

But do u guys mind to give me some detail explain on how to do the vpn method?
I turned on e vpn option and I added a user name and password , and I can access vpn with my abdroid phone, but how to login to my router setting page,?

Because I hope to get into my download master for my torrents when im overseas Ty

If your vpn is actually working, just enter your router ip address on your phone, should connect right away. I make use of the official openvpn app on my droid that way. Works well.

...is this indicating that you did not set-up DDNS service yet?
You *do* know that your WAN-IP can change (your ISP can do that deliberately or it might just happen when your router reconnects to the WAN), don't you?

Actually I'd advise to use certficates instead of user/passwd method, but it is a start

openvpn just secures the network connection between your client and your router/home.
This connection is fully transparent, direct into your Home-LAN and can be used by any apps on your client.
As already mentioned, just point your browser to the ASUS but use the *LAN* address this time.
