I plan on updating the firmware of the RT-N66U to the latest 4.220.
I am still on the now ancient 3.0.0.3.90 ever since I bought it.

I postponed updating, because I had some bad experience with a Netgear and TP-Link router.

After updating to 4.220 what are the fist steps that should be done?

What IP-address can I connect to? Are there any default passwords? Is it all back to factory default?

Is the a noob-guide explaining this?

Upgrading to 4.220 requires a factory default reset due to the upgrade in nvram storage.

Otherwise, the login and default IPs (192.168.1.1) remain unchanged.
