I hate IDEAL cat6 connectors.

seriously, they are so damn fiddly. first time using them i ruined like 5 of them. did the entirety of my wiring in one day and realized the plenum wasn't crimped on half the connectors (i was rather tired) and redid like half of them. it's been a little while since i crimped them, but i just finally ran a line for my wifi AP and the hatred came back in full force.

they take like 10 minutes a jack, too. i can do a cat5 jack in like 30 seconds.

cat6... too time consuming and error prone for DIY cable connectors, IMO.

Buy pre-built cat6 or use cat5e.

yea, i had to use up the roll of cat6, though haha.

i made around 18 patch cables + terminated the AP side of one of my runs with these frackers.

which means i've almost 60 crimps including the failed. with the ideal cat5 jacks (and other brands), i've not butchered one since highschool. what a tremendous waste of time and money.
