Installing AWS OpenVPN on Asus Merlin RT-AC86U

Has anyone had success getting the AWS OpenVPN config file to connect on Asus Merlin RT-AC86U.

When installing it, it just keeps saying “connecting.”

Any advice would be appreciated.

If anyone is skilled and would like to help me write the code based off this site, let me know. I am a little lost.

If you were trying early today, 22DEC21, AWS had major problems in its data center in Northern Virginia about 0500 EST.

For anyone in the future looking to fix this. Make sure you go into OpenVPN admin and set your profile to AutoLogin, then download the config file for that. It should be working in Asus Merlin. The Firmware I am running is Firmware Version:386.3_2.
