Is exhaust fan needed for BE96U

I bought a brand new Asus BE96U router.
I have around 20 devices connected.
The temperature is very warm to touch.
I dont know what temp but its not hot. Its just very very warm and almost hot.
- I dont know is there a way to check temp in router? I use baby temp thermometer and it shows 108 F
- does exhaust fan or cooling fan needed? I know it is design to operate in certain temp.
- if you use fan, what kind and suggestion?
- can you adjust fan speed in router?

Try browsing to the router webUI sub page /ajax_coretmp.asp to confirm CPU temp <86C (85% Tj max).

Also, I would move the router away from loudspeakers/magnets to be sure the router electronics and WiFi/radios are not affected.

If the new router runs noticeably hot, I'd return it.

Login to the router webUI and browse to (assumes router webUI access is not set to use HTTPS):

To see a simple report like this:

That is the page! The output string curr_cpuTemp = "0.057" suggests something is not right... a running CPU of a very hot router should have more temperature than 0.057C.

o Move the router away from the loadspeakers;
o Install current firmware and then Hard Reset that firmware;
o Configure the router minimally from scratch and then check the temp again.

If the router continues to run very hot and the temp reported is not normal and not less than 85C, then return it or call ASUS Support for an RMA.

No. Your router was made to work as expected up to 40C ambient temperature. If it doesn’t- send it back.

Also, noticed router siting on top of speaker with multiple coils. Just a theory, but you could have electromagnetic field effects on the router/antennas. i would get the router at least 1 m away from any speaker or motor device.
