Is the RT-AX86S still receiving updates?

The last firmware update for the RT-AX86S was in May of 2024, but the RT-AX86U has received more recent firmware updates. What's going on with it?

No it hasn't. The firmware for the RT-AX86S is the same as the one for the RT-AX86U. You're perhaps confusing it with the RT-AX86U Pro, which is a different model.

even the ax86u last firmware was on May 2024. I'm sure we'll at least get the security update that was released to many Asus routers recently.
