Is Unifi worth the upgrade?

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked on the auto settings and the radios are set to high power and there are some APs using the same frequency. I’ll try some manual tweaks to spread out the channels and adjust the power down. I did notice some sticky clients so we’ll see if some small changes help

@Tech9 It was time to upgrade to a new router anyway, so went all in on Unifi. Got the Fiber gateway, a bunch of cameras, the USW 2.5G Flex PoE switch to power them, as well as a couple of U7 Pro XG AP's. I have an idea of how to wire it all up, but still not 100% sure.

I've been browsing the forums for "rack" recommendation for this type of equipment that aren't classically rack mounted. Do you have any suggestions?

For wiring:
I would do UCG 2.5GbE port -> USW 2.5GbE port > UAP 2.5GbE. Your Gateway and Switch have 10GbE ports and it may look like the better connection between them, but this may be valid only if you have >2.3Gbps ISP service and for aggregate traffic to multiple USW wired clients and/or wireless through UAPs. Cameras - wired to any available PoE port, they don't need higher than FE throughput. Your USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE - note the power adapter for listed in specifications 196W PoE budget is not included. It's in Accessories section, model UACC-Adapter-AC-210W ($79). Get UPS for power backup. Not necessarily from Ubiquiti, but they have options in Integrations section (from $159).

For mounting:
Since none of your equipment was designed for rack mounting - any rack with shelves. I'm reusing the same one for few hardware changes already. If you really insist on all Ubiquiti branded gear - they have good quality racks, shelves, mounting brackets, etc. in Accessories section, but in reality may do exactly the same as non-branded cheaper options from Amazon.

Yes, got that one too. The tray to hold the M.2 in the Fiber, as well.

Not at all, just want to make sure it all fits and is appropriate. All I'm finding on reddit is a bunch of DIY 3D printing tutorials.

Thanks for the input

Vertical stands and no rack? This will make the UCG and USW footprint really small.
