Latest GT-AX600 FW 34860 running well as an Ai Mesh node with 102.5

FYI - not sure if this is the appropriate blog but i recently upgraded my rog rapture gt-ax6000 to the latest stockware, 3.0.0.6.102_34860 and all's well with my main (ax88u pro) running merlinware 102.5. i'm mentioning this because asus advises performing a factory reset on the router post installation of this 34860 fw update.

after the reset, the wireless node remained disconnected and had to be digitally removed then reattached. once attached, clients did not reconnect to the mesh node until an optimization and system reboot were performed. there's a possibility that a system reboot would have been sufficient but just optimizing the node was not enough.

A Node de-attachment performs a reset itself, so this shouldn't be a problem.

For this reason, I usually:
1) upgrade node via GUI
2) detach the node from GUI
3) re-attach node via GUI

I've admittedly had some issues on occasion with the 5 band not accepting clients, which is usually rectified with a power cycle (hardcoded channel, non-DFS, 160 enabled, which may be the culprit). YMMV.
