Looking for a better router

Currently have an AC3100 in the basement of a 3200 wood house. Works nicely but there are some dead zones and and in general some slowness when 4 zooms and a could browsing going on concurrently. Looking at the ZenWiFi XT8 but hear that minght help much - What would the team here recommend.
Yes have cat 6 to all locations.
