New Around Here
Hello,

i have 2 ISP connection and to loabalance the traffic i use a Linksys RV042.
I also have a subscription with a vpn provider.
I currently have a WRT54GL with dd-wrt connected to my local LAN.
i can successfully open a pptp tunnel using the WRT54GL wan port to vyprvpn (vpn provider).
However i am not satisfied with the throughput i have (around 180 KB/s)
i would expect to have the same perf than when opening the tunnel from a PC (1.8 MO/s).
During my investigations i found that the poor performance are caused by a cpu not power enough (it was confirmed with command TOP).
I am looking a router single wan or dual wan opensource or not able to open pptp connections to a vpn provider with good performance.
I was thinking about the opensource WNR3500L from Netgear which seems to have builtin hardware acceleration (i dont have more details so dont know if pptp is process in Hw).

Thx in advance for your advises.

Best regards,

Jean.
