Mac Safari and router page loading issues

For a while now my mac and the router home page have had issues when trying to load certain areas of the router but recently (on the latest MacOS) I have noticed my SSD space decreasing in size when I try and open the home page of the router (HTTPS) this does not happen on any other browser or other pages. Perhaps this is a memory leak.

I have had to use another browser to overcome this.

It's an already known issue, the problem is Safari, use another browser. Search in the forum and you'll find several conversations about it.
