Max wireless throughput on RT-AC1900P

This one is very similar to what I tested with, with the same RTL8822CE 2x2 AC Wi-Fi.

So I got my new laptop yesterday. After installing all windows updates etc, I did a file copy test with results as below:

1. With laptops internal wifi - RTL8822CE 2x2 AC Wi-Fi, I am able to hit about 68-72 MBps.

2. With the USB-AC68 again maxes out at 30 MBps.

This seems to confirm that the USB-AC68 is the culprit and maybe limiting itself to USB 2.0.

Any thoughts on other things to try or am I stuck with some defective adapter that I can't even return to ASUS? :-(

If you have tried with different drivers, on different PC's and it still doesn't work properly, you have one option left - replace it.

yeah. I am coming to the conclusion . I am planning to reach out to ASUS tech support as well.
