Merlin WebUI http server stops responding?

Hi,

On my RT-AC86U running 384.18 is does after a few days (scmerlin helps to get it manually restarted).

Is this a known error?

The issue seems to pop up in the forum every week or so, it seems to affect users randomly ,i came across it months ago , to mitigate the issue i run a cron job every 6 hours in order to restart the server from (services-start) never had any issues since then.

cru a restart-webgui-at-6-hour "0 */6 * * * service restart_httpd"

I also occasionally have this GUI problem, so I decided to add a cru line to do the restart. It has been working great, but after about 1 day, when I look at the logs, I see this. Why is this happening? Is this related to the https restart?

Sounds memory related (page allocation failure). Since you have a swap configured, make sure that swap is working properly.

A reboot seems to have fixed it for now. I'll watch it to see if the error reappears.

I put this in and then rebooted router. And it didn't stick. Is there a way to add this so it survives a reboot?

After 3 weeks of rock-solid performance of my Asus router running 384.18 I now can report back: @faria your hint above (with the cron job for a nightly restart of http daemon) was AWESOME !

I put the added script, but still experiencing GUI issue. Occasionally, when I open GUI, the GUI opens, but the Menu items on left column don't show up. If I close the web tab, then reopen the GUI, I am already logged in and the menu items are on the left. Perhaps I need to run the script more frequently?
