Review of the 4500 on SNB's home page now up. Very interesting!

Like the reviewer, I also use the Intel 5300 adapter card, but, unlike his test setup with only two antenna attached, I have all three adapter card antenna attached in my Dell Vostro 1400.

The first 4500 I had performed great on the 5 GHz 450 Mbps settings for a location similar to SNB's "D" location. The 2.4 GHz band performance was horrible in just about every situation (compared to the 5 GHz of the 4500 and the 2.4 GHz band on Netgear's 3800 router).

A replacement 4500 has good 2.4 GHz performance but rotten 5 GHz performance compared to the first 4500 unit regardless of firmware, channel or mode selected.

Will be checking the antenna on the notebook's network adapter card tomorrow. Is there someone in particular to speak with at Netgear??
