CPU and RAM usage is missing.

nvm. its there now, had to reset the router.

edit;

TX Power settings have changed. Now its a slider bar with 0-100%.

NAT Acceleration is back with CTF Level 1 and 2. Description is missing as always.
When i set it to Level 2, the settings disappeared, then only gave me a choice of Enable or Disable. What effin mess.

This could be because you still had some leftover setting in nvram from back when they accidentally added that setting to all routers, rather than only support routers.

Level 1 = standard CTF
Level 2 = CTF + FA

FA is only supported (for now) on the RT-AC87U AFAIK.

Check the General Wireless forum here, I posted a pretty detailed thread about CTF a few weeks ago.

Be patient. Asus's website runs on clustered servers. When new files are uploaded, they don't always immediately replicate to all servers, so it can sometimes take up to 24 hours before everyone can see the files.

.

I highly doubt it, since then ive gone through a dozen firmware changes.

Could someone check if "reg_mode=d" is working in this new software for RT-AC68U and this variable could survive restart after nvram commit ? Many tx in advance ;-)

Found a bug in this firmware.

If i set 5Ghz to 80mhz, and manually assign a channel 149-153, the wifi log shows 5ghz band is set to 20mhz and channel 39.
Xbox One shows Nat-Type; Moderate.

If i set 5Ghz to 40mhz and manual channel, then wireless log shows correct settings.
Xbox One shows Nat-Type; Open.

Wow dont Asus test this stuff for basic function before releasing to the masses ? I will wait for a Merlin release.

I found a problem in the same area. On all previous firmware versions I've changed "Wireless Mode" from "Auto" to "N + AC" and left the "Channel Bandwidth" at "20/40/80". My PCE-AC68 has always connected at 80MHz and AC877Mbps to 1300Mpbs. However, with this firmware my PCE-AC68 only showed 40MHz and N450. A router reboot and PC reboot didn't change anything; I had to change the Wireless Mode back to "Auto' and then my PC connected on 80MHz at AC 877Mbps.

I switched the Wireless Mode back and forth several times. Each time I selected "N + AC" the PCE-AC68 connected at 40MHz/N450Mbps, which was also shown in the Wireless Log. Each time I selected "Auto" the PCE-AC68 connected at 80MHz/AC877Mbps, which was also shown in the Wireless Log.

Before flashing the new firmware, I forgot the network on my PC, did a factory reset of the Router before and after flashing the new firmware, then changed the router settings, then did another power-off reboot, then had my PC reconnect to the Router and re-establish the Network. Perhaps overkill, but that's just the way I do it.

I've never noticed it before, but I found CPU and RAM usage on the Network Map page, under System Status, under the Status tab.

Since im now stuck on using 40mhz on 5G band. My Galaxy S4 only connects at 150mbps.

Yet Xbox One is connected at 270mbps.

Thanks Asus!! :D

Reverted to 5656 because I lost the furthermost parts of my house with the new FW. I boost Tx power to 100mW on both bands.
