Open VPN Client Turns Off

Has any noticed that a Open VPN connection to 2 Identical RT-AC66u routers with same firmware the client will turn off if the router is rebooted or powered off? Is this a bug as it is an issue to lose the remote router as can't log in to turn the client VPN back on!:(
