Operation mode of 2nd N66w to run VPN

I have 2 Asus n66w routers. I would like to set the secondary router up with OpenVPN. What would the operating mode need to be set at, and what would the cable configuration be?

Double NAT one router behind the other. Doesn't make any difference if VPN router first or second.

Cable from LAN port of router 1 to WAN port of router 2.

Each router must have DHCP server on and be in a different subnet.
