pfSense + AC5300

Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with setting up a custom router running pfSense and then using the AC5300 as an access point?

I did exactly that but am using an AC3200 in Access Point mode instead. Works fine.

Once I get into our new home I will be mothballing the AC3200 and using dedicated APs though.

One loses quite a bit of the capabilities of the AC5300 when running in AP mode - might consider that a couple of AC68 series in AP mode would more than fill the bill, and still come out money ahead
