Hello,

I am a long time user of Plex and have two servers. Today I noticed that the backup server that is on my R9000 wasn't available The "Enable Plex" checkbox on the router's Plex page has now changed to "Download and enable Plex". And the Plex version information at the bottom of the page shows "none" as current version and then lists a new version to install. Attempting a manual install fails.

I was running Voxel 1.0.4.42HF firmware and I am sure this server was working several days ago. I installed Voxel 1.0.4.42.1HF today with the same result. I noticed a post on the Netgear forum about broken Plex updates (and posted there as well). I assume this is a Netgear issue but was curious if anyone else is having the same problem - if not then maybe I need to did into my own stuff a little more.

Thanks,
BL

There is broken link on NG site. I think they (NG) should fix it soon. I do not understand why they did not fix it still.

The issue is that Plex install script gets the link for installation of the new version of Plex (from NG site) as

https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-medi...diaserver-r9k-1.19.4.2935-79e214ead-armv7.tgz

but correct link is

https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-medi...diaserver-r9k-1.19.4.2935-79e214ead-armv7.tgz

Look at this, the same is with stock fw:

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Ni...ng-on-Nighthawk-X10-R9000-Router/td-p/1939981

Voxel.

Thank you Voxel! And you are correct, as they must have fixed it. My Plex server is back up and running on its own.

Best wishes,
BL

Can you upgrade Plex to 1.24.4 or higher? Netgear is no longer providing any Plex updates.
