Hi,

Can you implement simple plugin for web page to test speed of internet connection?
When I have connection problem with my provider they want to connect my notebook to their router and test speed connection.
I found example for ubuntu
https://askubuntu.com/questions/104755/how-to-check-internet-speed-via-terminal

Would this script - https://www.snbforums.com/threads/spdmerlin-automated-speedtests-with-graphs.55904/ solve your problem? You can install it using amtm - https://www.snbforums.com/threads/amtm-the-snbforum-asuswrt-merlin-terminal-menu.42415/

I found better solution:
I just download speedtest-cli:
Unzip and check commands by ./speedtest -h
It this faster than configuration of swap to run custom scripts by spdMerlin
Additionally, it doesn't even require Merlin. Runs fine on stock ASUS f./w. Using those binaries, I wrote a script that posts the results to the system log. I schedule it to run once per hour.

Stock firmware is getting built-in speedtest starting with 386_3xxxx.
