QNAP is partnering with Arduino, expanding the use of its QIoT Lite container-based architecture within the developer board industry.

Slated to be “Arduino Ready” by Q1 2017, QIoT Lite will interface with Arduino built open source projects built on Arduino Yun or Tian platforms, storing data on QNAP NAS products over Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. With QIoT Lite’s built-in capabilities, developers and makers can also use dashboards to securely monitor their Arduino projects remotely.

Check out the QNAP QIoT webpage to learn more about QIoT.

Neat stuff, and not just limited to Arduino - can be used pretty much with anything - think Edison or Raspberry Pi... or pretty much any maker board/platform that supports the common API's that QIoT can offer.
