Questions about HP Procurve 1400 24G

I am looking for Gig switches for my house I need ~12-14 ports but nothing came up only 24 ports came up.
HP Procurve 1400 24G or
NETGEAR JGS524
these are basically ~100.00 dollars price difference.

or anything else for my situation which is to send large files between numerous of computers while playing game DL-ing off internet and stream from media server =) . Basically no lag and unmanaged and under 300.00 or lower will be ideal

Where are you looking? There are plenty of unmanaged 16 port gigabit switches.

You can buy on price, warranty and brand preference for unmanaged switches. Performance is the same.
