New Around Here
Hi,

My current interent connectivity is 100Mbit/s down and 10Mbit/s up.
I'm looking for a new VPN Router/Firewall product (appliance not software) with the following requirements:

Must have:
  • Gigabit Ethernet (WAN and LAN)
  • at least 100Mbit/s WAN-LAN throughput with enabled Firewall and NAT
  • at least 2 IPSEC VPN Tunnels (site-to-site) with AES128 or better
  • able to handle VLANs
  • < $500

Nice to have:
  • Client SSL VPN
  • some advanced security features
  • rudundant WAN ports
  • no license expenses for firmware upgrades.
  • state of the art web interface or console configuration possibilites like Cisco IOS

My current product is a Netgear UTM5. But it has some real drawbacks, which doesn't fit my needs anymore.
  • WAN - LAN throughput is about 60Mbit/s with all the UTM things disabled. (Accrding to Netgear it should be 90Mbit/s)
  • All kind of updates needs different lincenses (e.g. for new firmware is a Support & Maintenance Subscription required), which is really difficult to buy and expensive.
  • The web interface is slow and complicated

Do you have any recommendations for me? May you have allready some experience with the suggested product? The fact sheet looks allways quite good but that's marketing ;)

Kind regards,
Danny
