New Around Here
I am currently reworking my home network and am trying to set up a separate network specifically for IOT devices.
I have two routers in an AIMesh setup:
- GT-AX11000 : Main Router
- RP-AC1900 : Node
I have set up a Guest Network that I was hoping to use for IOT, and it's in the Network Index 1 slot so that I can share it over my AIMesh. (My main router is in my office which is in a corner of my house and can't be moved. It can't reach all IOT devices from my office.)
My problem is that because of how that first slot is set up to work with AIMesh my IOT devices can no longer access the internet. After looking around it seems like this is a problem on ASUS's end and I can't fix it. I upgraded to the latest firmware version for my AX-11000 this morning while doing this and have also tried the latest ASUSwrt-Merlin Firmware in the hopes that it would fix the problem. Sadly, it did not.
I am looking for advice on how to set up a network that cannot access my intranet, can be broadcast over AIMesh, and is still able to access the internet.
