working, super fine here

Asus is not supporting this router any more..... no updates for problems all other routers get fixes on the new firmwares , was thinking of upgrading to the new Axe rapture 16000 but think its going to be the same crappy support.

That is an unfair assumption. The AX86U got its last upgrade on the same date and I know Merlin has code Asus sent him for the 386.7 firmware.

I'm also in the same boat so I understand your frustration. But Merlin's FW has new binaries for this router so I expect a final release of a new official FW to happen soon. Just be a bit more patient.

Meanwhile switched to Merlin 386.7 on both Main and node, seems to be working fine (honestly more stable and faster connection)

So, new firmware = yes. :)
