admin is the firmware superuser (UID1). If a script complains about it, it needs to be changed not to assume that UID1 is named "root".

I'm curious: why would one install a tv-stick on the ac66u? Am I missing some brilliant use for it?(?)

This Stick has inbuild Network-Support. You can stream and control the TV-Signal to all Devices in the Network, like TV-Software that uses BDA-Devices.

sundtek dvb-c problem

Hello,

Who can help me with installation from my sundtek DVB-C on my Asus RT-N66U with the firmware from Merlin.

What I done to install the DVB-C stick on my asus router:

I Login in my asus router with ssh.

> wget http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_netinst.sh

> chmod 755 sundtek_netinst.sh

> ./sundtek_netinst.sh -admin

> mediaclient --enablenetwork=on &

Now I have a remote connection with my DVB-C stick, and can watch TV over te LAN :)

But I have problem :(

When I exit the ssh connection with my asus router, the DVB-C stick stops to work, no tv any more over the lan.

I also try the first steps with this command:

> /tmp/opt/bin/mediasrv -d

but this will not work.

it will only works when I do all first steps, and not exit the ssh connection.

Can someone help, to get this DVB-C stick running on my Asus router
