Running Merlin 380.62_1, and had a very weird problem this morning. Woke up to no ability to connect to the router. (It was working fine when I went to bed.)
I immediately rebooted the router (and switches for good measure). I could tell the AC5300 was having a hard time. Power LED would come on, then WAN, maybe one of the wireless radio LEDs. Then it would start the sequence over again (seemingly restarting itself). Finally I got some life with my phone & laptop connecting. Harmony remotes refused. I then noticed the 2.4 LED was off. Pulled up WiFiAnalyzer on my phone, and sure enough, there was no 2.4GHz network being broadcast. I logged into the UI, disabled the 2.4GHz radio then reenabled it. After the router did its thing, my SSID was no where to be found on any frequency.
Rebooted, and the whole long time to start up. Finally after one more power cycle, both radios seemed to work--at least I had clients connecting to the 2.4GHz and the 1st 5GHz radio. My laptop usually connects to the 2nd 5GHz radio but wouldn't do it. I wanted to test creating a guest network on 5GHz radio #2, to see if I could get clients connected to all 3 radios, but unfortunately needed to leave for work. (Plus, my roommate works from home, so while I had it working, I didn't want to tempt fate.) I quickly saved the configuration in case I need to replace it.
Router's been working flawlessly with SmartConnect for sometime. Worried my router may be dying, but it's within the 90-days of purchase protection on my credit card.
Any thoughts? I'm going to try pushing it tonight to see if I can get all 3 bands working.
