Hi,

I have problem with my RT-AC68U. After a few hours/days smbd process starts to use 100% CPU and duplicates itself. If I restart samba on-off or service restart nasapps there is only one smbd and use 100% CPU, after a minute there are 2~4 processes and raising.

If there is ~100 processes router stopped working, no internet and no ssh access because of out of memory problem. Tried to remove HDD and keep only USB 16GB with 30 files the same problem.

The only temporary solution is to restart the whole router. And wait half a day to smbd started duplicates and using 100%CPU.

Clean install 15 days ago...

Tried every combination of smb version and enable disable Master browser, WINS server.

In the log I see only:

Can you detail your clean install for us?

Clean install: on stock AsusWRT factory default > install merlin AsusWRT > factory default with checked Initialize all the settings, and clear all the data log for AiProtection, Traffic Analyzer, and Web History.
(it was the first installation of marlin AsusWRT)
