Yes, dumb switches are working, I used it before with the older firmwares when this problem had so long and many network interruptions that it was unusable with the managed switches.
I need the PoE feature, that's why I'm using those Zyxel and Netgear switches.

Can't you just simply connect the nodes via the unmanaged switches and continue using the PoE switch(es) where needed?

Main router ------UnManSwitch-------Aimesh node

Main router ------UnManSwitch-------PoESwitch------IoT, things

Or,

Main router ------PoESwitch--------Iot, things.

I'm afraid not, since:
Building 1: Aimech router, Managed POE Switch
Building 2: Mangaed POE Switch, POE IP Cam (for alarm system)
Building 3: Aimech node
All buildings connected by single Cat 5.

If I had another Cat 5 between building 1 & 2, I could separate the traffic as suggested.

The reason for POE system is to have the POE-parts of the system powered by UPS in case of power loss.
