Using RT-AC68U with RMerlin 384.7_2. When I try to connect to the guest network, it shows up but never connects. I even tried to set it up without any authentication. It still doesn't connect. Tried three different phones. No connection. Tried 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Regular wifi works and connects with no problems. What am I doing wrong?

1. Save your settings.
2. Do a factory reset using option on router's firmware
3. Setup a guest network using open no security default settings, and simple SSID with no spaces or special characters and see if it is possible to connect. If connect then you will have to look at which setting is causing problem. If can't connect then there is a good possibility of hardware issue. Until you can resolve the issue you can restore settings you saved and continue using until you fix it or replace it.
I have "fixed" IPs for all my IoT devices that can connect to my router (on guest SSIDs) or repeaters of those SSIDs. So this isn't the problem. BTW, the IP comes from DHCP based on MAC. It doesn't care where the request came from.
