RT-AC68U ; login refused after factory reset.

Hi,

I had to reset my router.

But now I got a major problem ; when I want to login, user & pwd (admin) are refused ????

( I factory reset 3 times. Tried on 3 different browsers. )

Any idea ?

Are you using a password manager?

How are you accessing the gui?

Are you copying and pasting the data?

Accessing via GUI and "new" adress 192.168.1.1 ( no Pwd mngr )

But I found the clue, I made a reset via WPS button + Power, then login infos were accepted !

Sometimes soft factory reset leaves prior password and a few stray items intact, but I think it depends on the firmware revision. It's a bug, I think. Glad to hear you got out of it. Seems the WPS button reset is the most reliable way to reset.
