RT-AC68U To beamform or not

So have factory reset and leaving Wireless Pro at defaults. Testing with RC2-4. Will see how it goes. My dot has already swapped to 5ghz and leaving channels to auto.

What is the Roaming block list? Similar to Mac wireless?

Search 'roaming block list' in the FAQ search at the bottom of the router webUI page.

Interesting after 1 day uptime and a factory reset a different speaker fell off the network. One right next to the router, a dot, log says disconnected due to inactivity which is correct it wasn't being used.

1 day 10 hours and no disconnections overnight. Seems to have settled down, monitoring to continue.

I doubt it. It may be radio/channel interference or finicky/faulty clients... perhaps the use of same SSIDS.

Have they always had trouble staying connected or did this issue arise recently? My Roku is always updating on its own and doing something odd... fortunately its wired. My Chromecast is also probably updating on its own, if I know Google, but it just always works... it's on the 5.0 WLAN.

That's interesting. I have updated from a DSL-N55U which I am now using as a wifi bridge with another N55U for my PVR and that very rarely dropped out. Also using WinFi (brilliant program) I find the N55U has a stronger 5ghz signal than the AC68U.

So I have discovered how to manually update my clients by simply asking "To check software updates", the client disappears from the network for about 2 minutes and then updates. I presume a reboot and the log says deauth due to inactivity so it could be why clients are dropping off the network.
