RT-AC68U update 384.19 to 386.1 beta no webui

After upgrading my RT-AC68U from 384.19 to 386.1 I am unable to obtain a webui.
Normal port has been configured as 8443 for a long time - sometimes it responds to portscan, sometimes not

After restarting httpd - ok

Cheers.. That would be a real pain as I have made a number of changes, including multiple openvpn config....

Same problem here with RT-AC86U.. Able to open SSH, restart httpd restores login screen but does not open web-ui. Is there a way to restore previous firmware with ssh?

I suspect a .384 to .386 upgrade deserves a clean install... flash, reset, and configure from scratch.

At the moment, I can get in after restarting the httpd
IF problems remain I might try a reset and then load config first...
It has got to be worth a try...

Loading a saved configuration is good for restoring the same previous configuration. This could restore the problem.
