RT-AC86U converted to GT-AC2900 reboot fix?

It is possible to run GT-AC2900 firmware on RT-AC86U router.

Has anyone here tried this?

Big question: will the power-off bug be solved with GT firmware???
In other words, will it still hang sometimes after reboot and staying dark or is it fixed with it and correctly rebooting all the time?

It is possible to run GT-AC2900 firmware on RT-AC86U router.

Different hardware. Don't. The GT-AC2900 firmware expects the presence of a LED controller, for instance, and there may be additional differences.

Only asked because someone already did and running fine so far.

And it would be somehow helpful to know especially for you if it is a firmware related bug which could be solved then somehow or really a hardware problem.
