New Around Here
I don't know if its coincidence but I recently updated to 386.7_2 and also the modem now crashes a few times a day.
I installed the stock ASUS firmware and then moved back to Merlin but all my settings were still saved so I don't know if I should go through the hassle of a factory reset or this is more likely a hardware issue.

Let me know if there's anything else I can post.

Backup your settings and do a full reset and see what happens then. You need to eliminate your settings being the cause. If it works then you know it's your settings, if it doesn't you can always restore the settings from your back up.
