RT-N56U or R6250 for routing

I own both of these routers. I would like to find the best setup for routing, wireless n/ac, and network security. I currently don't have any ac clients in the network, so the R6250 would only be used in n, until I have the need for ac. I have an older 54G AP handling a couple of G clients.

Network traffic is streaming media, gaming, browsing, etc.

Scenario A: RT-N56U as router and R6250 as wireless AP.

Scenario B: R6250 as router and wireless AP.

Scenario C: Bacon.

Figured I'd ask for some opinions. Thoughts? Thanks.

As for the router questions, the RT-N56U is the router.

I would recommend the latest Padavan or the Asus beta v2239 firmware for the RT-N56U.
