New Around Here
Hi All-

I was running 3.0.4.270and getting perfect speeds* on the 5ghz network. However, I started having a problem in which the wireless network would become crippled and I'd have to reboot the router to restore. So, I upgrade my firmware. I'm now running 3.0.0.4.376_1071.

Now, though, I am getting nowhere near the speeds that I should be getting. My upstream is fine, but my downstream is less than half of what it was on the older firmware. I can't for the life of me figure out the problem.

When I connect with Ethernet, I get the expected speeds, which are the same speeds I was getting before the firmware update.

doesn't make any sense.

I appreciate any help.

* I have a synchronous 100/100 connection and am typically getting 95% of its stated speeds. Even when I was on wireless on the older firmware.

Control channel set to manual, 149 or higher.
Authentication mode, set.it to Wpa2 personal.

Try settings in my gallery for Pro WiFi settings.

SOLVED (for now): Factory reset has resolved the problem. I cannot identify a cause. I haven't changed any settings ...

Very strange. Thoughts?

You went from SDK5 firmware to SDK6 so reset is required.

You may find though that the 270 (SDK5) firmware had better wireless range than 1071 (SDK6).
