New Around Here
Hello,

I currently have a RT-68U running stock firmware and I have VPN set-up using the OpenVPN client on the router and it works no problem in routing all traffic over the VPN (the server is actually another 68U). However, what I would like to do is route only certain websites traffic over the VPN and the rest via the local ISP.

I have tried editing the OpenVPN config file with the following:

route-nopull
route x.x.x.x (where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the website in question)

but this does not work.

Does anybody have any experience of doing something like this? If so any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!
p.s. posted in Merlin forum too

Probably not, just something to bear in mind for the future. ;) You usually get a pretty quick reply, particularly in the Merlin forum.

However, he's running the stock firmware. What he wants to do can easily be done through the webui with my firmware. With the stock firmware, it's very tricky to do, as the firmware doesn't offer any real way of automatically customizing routing.

This has to be done at the firmware's routing level, not at OpenVPN's routing level.

Hi RMerlin!

Thanks for the info - I will go ahead and install your firmware! Would you be grateful if you could point me in the right direction of how to achieve what I need once I have new firmware onboard.

Thanks again for the swift reply!
