Set up remote Access with RT-AX88U Pro an Private Internet Access VPN

My router is an Asus RT-AX88U Pro. My VPN is Private Internet Access. How do I configure the router for remote access with my VPN? Are there step-by-step instructions for this somewhere?

Thanks, Tech9. I can see this is far beyond my know-how. My best bet is find someone local who can walk me through the steps. Thanks again.

As @Tech9 mentioned, you'll need a public IP to run a VPN server on your router. Confirm that you have a public IP before spending time researching the VPN server. If you don't have a public IP there are other methods to accomplish what you are trying to do such as Tailscale.

If one doesn't have a fixed public DNS, then look at using DDNS.

It's important to understand the distinction/difference between configuring the Asus router to use a public VPN service like Private Internet Access where the Asus router is configured as a VPN client. And setting up the Asus router to host a VPN server that offsite remote VPN clients will access.
