I am hoping someone can help me in configuring my set up so that I can run 2 VPN Clients (OVPN1 and OVPN3) and have just 1 or 2 devices configured to run through OVPN3 with all the rest going through OVPN1 ( as they currently do ) unless otherwise configured.

My VPN Director rules are currently as described below (edited to keep the list short) and I have been using them successfully for a number of years but now wish to run 2 clients.

I have read the VPN Director guide and tried to set up but not succeeded, so if anyone can guide me through it would be greatly appreciated.

Using Asus RT AC 86U and Merlin 386.7

OpenVPN clients status

OVPN1: Southampton Strong Disconnected VPN Director Start Client

OVPN2: Client 2 Disconnected No Internet traffic Start Client

OVPN3: Denmark Strong Disconnected VPN Director Start Client

OVPN4: Client 4 Disconnected No Internet traffic Start Client

OVPN5: Client 5 Disconnected No Internet traffic Start Client

Swap the two clients. Client 1 has priority over client 3, so you'll want the most specific rules with the higher priority client, and the catch-all rule to be with the lower priority client.
